In 1993 Sifu Angelo Floiran walked into Tom Bryans Karate in Dayton NJ and for the first time would be introduced to the teachings of Bruce Lee. Shihan Tom Bryan was an active police detective and long time martial artists who operated multiple martial arts school in central NJ. Those schools were the focus of Combat Dynamics International Martial Arts Association. Over the years Shihan Bryan would become Grandmaster Bryan and deliver White Tiger Kempo.
In the 1990's the name Combat Dynamics would start to scare certain potential members away as they because of the word"combat" being in the name. Parents would hesitate to enroll their 10 year old in a program that sounded like it was for mercenaries. As times have changed and martial arts has gained more main stream following, and new delivery methods for learning. This would be the premise for what Combat Dynamics would become in 2025. A new online delivery platform and custom training program with emphasis on military and law enforcement.
Having relocated from New Jersey to Texas, in 1994 Sifu Angelo Floiran would continue his martial arts journey in different styles and different instructors but never stop representing Jeet Kune Do and the teachings of Grandmaster Tom Bryan. After his own law enforcement career involving many tactical engagements and street altercations, Sifu Floiran left law enforcement after a debilitating spinal cord injury. This injury would result in eight spinal cord surgeries and leave Sifu Floiran with 11 screws holding his spine together. After years of rehabilitation and therapy, Sifu Floiran found he was amazed that he could not only walk but actually throw a kick. Clearly his 30 years of martial arts training was the only reason he was still able to walk, train, hold a job and be involved with his family. It was clear it was time to give back.
Having never lost contact with Grandmaster Bryan, Sifu Floiran rose to Black Belt levels in White Tiger Kempo and Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. In 2025, Sifu Floiran contacted Grandmaster Bryan and requested permission to use the name Combat Dynamics. Grandmaster Bryan granted permission and allowed Sifu Floiran to bring back Combat Dynamics. Today the Combat Dynamics honors the original training of Grandmaster Tom Bryan and provides new services for law enforcement, military and martial artists looking to expand their warrior spirit and develop new combat strategies for self defense and competition. Combat Dynamics embraces all martial arts and the individuals who represent and train those systems.
Combat Dynamics is only available by invitation. Training programs are specifically designed for law enforcement and military or individuals who have been vetted and are associated to other members.
