Thanks to the power of the Internet we are able to pay homage to my first martial arts instructor Grandmaster Tom Bryan. I called GM Bryan last year and said "I've also thought the Combat Dynamics name was awesome, can I use it?" He said yes, so here we are trying to put it to use and inspire new martial artists over a decade later from this last CDIMAA reference online and three decades after I first walked into his school in Dayton NJ.
Law Enforcement Martial Arts Training System
"LEMATS"
Like the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP), LEMATS is a specialized martial arts program designed for law enforcement. This program is offered at a local police department and combines both tactical methods and techniques as well as classroom discussion based on the use of force continuum. Additional discussion involves the techniques' effect on the body. Knowing how the bones break, the lungs fill, and blood is cut to the brain in an anatomy-based discussion complements the submission methods and techniques taught in the hands on portions of the class.
